Wolfe defines rancor as malignant ill will.
I can't tell you how often this quote has played out in my life.
Whenever I have felt rancor towards a situation, person, etc., my brain has acted as if a nasty pimple was sitting right on the part of the brain that makes good decisions.
I am going to post this quote on my wall and work and remind myself of what Nero said when situations arise that may cause rancor.
